EMT RESEARCH ASSISTANT POSITION

Research Assistant Position
EMT Associates, Inc. is seeking qualified applicants for an in-person/hybrid Research Assistant position in its Folsom, CA offices. Hours are flexible to accommodate part-time or full-time work schedules (minimum 20 hours per week). The position will support a diverse array of local, state, and national program evaluation and survey research studies in behavioral health, public health, human services, and education. The role offers an opportunity to collaborate with experienced research professionals and to contribute to a range of projects that impact public policy, community health and education, and wellness. Project clients include federal and state agencies, Institutions of Higher Education (IHE), local school systems, and community-based organizations. Applicants may be asked to carry out a range of project tasks including conducting literature reviews; assisting with the design and implementation of research methodologies; collecting and managing data; leading focus group discussions and key informant interviews; analyzing quantitative and qualitative data; assisting with product development and carrying-out additional administrative tasks as needed.
Minimum Qualifications
EMT is seeking candidates with the following qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in public health, education, criminal justice, social sciences, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
Experience with data analysis and statistical software (e.g., SPSS, R, or Stata).
Strong research and analytical skills, with attention to detail.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a multi-project, team environment.
Familiarity with evaluation methodologies and public policy research.
Career motivations and objectives relevant to EMT’s mission and approach.
Starting salary range is from $25 to $32 per hour with comprehensive benefits for full-time employees and limited benefits for part-time. Compensation is commensurate with the candidate’s entire record of education and relevant experience.
