Job Overview
Bethany Lutheran Preschool is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Part-Time Preschool Teacher to join our team, working with children ages 3-5. This role requires up to 25 hours per week, Monday through Friday. We are looking for a teacher who is passionate about early childhood education and committed to fostering a nurturing, faith-based learning environment. The hours for this position would be 12 pm - 4:00 pm (additional hours may be required depending on student ratio.)
Responsibilities
Create a fun and engaging classroom setting that aligns with Christian values and supports children’s social, emotional, and spiritual growth.
Create a safe, welcoming, and inclusive classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning.
Monitor, guide, and support students throughout the day, providing positive reinforcement and encouragement.
Manage classroom behavior effectively, employing positive reinforcement strategies to promote good conduct.
Conduct regular assessments of children's progress and adapt teaching methods accordingly.
Collaborate with parents and guardians to provide updates on children's development and address any concerns.
Facilitate physical education activities that promote health, coordination, and teamwork among preschoolers.
Support early intervention strategies for children who may need additional assistance in their development.
Maintain a clean, organized classroom that is conducive to learning.
Adhere to and uphold the values outlined in our Christian Role Model expectation form.
Requirements & Experience:
Minimum of 12 Early Childhood Education (ECE) units.
At least two years of experience in a preschool or early childhood education setting required.
A genuine love for working with young children and creating a positive learning environment.
Ability to incorporate Christian teachings and values into daily classroom activities.
Strong teamwork and communication skills.
