NexGen Engineering and Consulting LLC is expanding and is seeking to add a CAD Technician/CAD Specialist to our team! The ideal candidate will work under the supervision of a project engineer or manager to create plans and studies for various public and private development projects. This position requires an organized individual with excellent interpersonal skills, as well as accuracy and commitment to their work.
Requirements:
- Formal CAD training
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and other relevant drafting software
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to produce accurate, high-quality drawings
- Understanding of civil engineering concepts, including grading, roadways, sewer, water, storm drain facilities, pump stations, and onsite wastewater treatment systems is helpful
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong communication and collaboration skills
- 1 to 2 years of experience in a CAD drafting role, preferably in civil or environmental engineering projects
- An associate degree in Drafting, Engineering Technology, or a related field is preferred
