An MN Builders Detailer is responsible for the measuring and drawing of cabinetry and millwork projects for the MN Builders Cabinet shop. This position reports to the Manager of Production. This position would be remote, with periodic visits to job sites, and quarterly attendance at Company-sponsored events. Duties will include, but will not be limited to:
TECHNICAL SKILLS
Preparing CAD drawings based on customer and/or sales specifications and project estimates
Measuring and creating as-built drawings of job sites in various stages of construction
Translation of varied architectural drawings in to cohesive submittal drawings that are suitable for fabrication
Preparing layouts, patterns or scaled drawings for estimating and construction
Create drawings following established company standards and guidelines; ensuring design is in line with bid and build-ability constraints
MANAGEMENT & OVERSIGHT
Coordinating with outside architects, designers and contractors to work out details and site conditions that affect the projects
Specifying material, hardware, electrical/lighting specifications and building techniques in accordance with customer requirements and MN standards
Coordinating with the MN Project Managers to price cabinetry and millwork projects
Adhering to production schedules
Meeting or beating hours estimates for work
Coordinating with the MN Shop Team in creating and revising MN standard details
Minimum Requirements:
Advanced communication in written and spoken English
High accuracy and attention to detail
Solid mathematical understanding
Proficient in the ability to interpret design documents. This includes both architectural and interior design drawings and specifications
Some understanding of the functions of related building trades and their requirements: plumbing, heating and ventilation, and electrical
5+ years AutoCAD experience, preferably within a millwork or cabinet fabrication environment
Demonstrated CAD speed and efficiency
Ability to competently use MS Office, Fieldwire and AutoCAD
Hands-on experience with shop fabrication techniques, equipment, and processes
Current CPR & First Aid certificate
Ability to work well with and positively contribute to the team
Understand proper and consistent use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE):
Safety glasses, ear protection, & respiratory protection.

Compensation and Benefits:
This is a full-time, exempt, salaried position paying $80,000 - $120,000 per year
