Sabot Consulting is looking for a health care information technology senior consultant with the experience and knowledge to provide our clients with expert health care data transaction guidance.

You will provide subject matter expertise on current and emerging health information data standards, methods, laws/regulations, and technologies. The role will entail providing technical guidance and management to client initiatives. Accountable for maintaining a solid customer relationship and relationships with the client’s stakeholder organizations.
The right candidate will know how to communicate and work with all levels of the organization, to know when to be an advisor and how to take charge. We are looking for someone that has a proven track record and/or aptitude for the consulting profession.
Qualifications for this position:
Mandatory Experience Qualifications

  • Five (5) years of experience with various Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) methods, such as point-to-point EDI, EDI Network Services Provider, FTP over VPN, SFTP and FTPS, etc.
  • Three (3) years of experience interpreting HIPAA rules and regulations for implementation by a covered entity.
  • Three (3) years of experience participating in HIPAA- based projects for Transactions, Code Sets, National Provider Identifier requirements, CAQH CORE Operating Rules, or similar practices/standards compliance.
  • Two (2) years of experience participating in a practice or standards development process led by a CMS-recognized standards development organization (SDO), such as ASC X12.
  • Three (3) years of experience performing complex systems analysis.
  • Three (3) years of experience working with program
  • staff and managing relationships with program staff.
  • Three (3) years of experience working within the healthcare industry.
  • One (1) year of experience with State of California programs and organizations, or other similar government experience.
  • Bachelor of Science (BS) or Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree.
Desirable Experience Qualifications
  • Accepted agile certification, such as Project Management Institute - Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP) or Scrum Alliance Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), or Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO).
  • Participation in national HIPAA standards settings organizations, workgroups, and other HIPAA-related organizations.
  • Two (2) years of experience with Medicaid programs.
  • Eight (8) years of experience in an advisory or consulting role.
  • Strong communication skills including explaining complex concepts, negotiation and persuasion, conflict resolution, and presenting to the executive-level.
