Description Lisa Cole with Robert Half is partnering with a well-established company in the Sacramento area that is looking to hire a Corporate Tax Accountant. The Tax Accountant will have experience with preparing federal and state corporate tax returns. As a Corporate Tax Accountant with our firm, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring compliance with tax regulations and maximizing our financial efficiency.Job Responsibilities:
Prepare and file federal, state, and local corporate tax returns, ensuring adherence to all relevant tax laws and regulations.
Monitor changes in tax legislation and regulations and develop strategies to mitigate tax risks and optimize tax benefits for the organization.
Coordinate with external tax advisors and auditors to ensure accurate and timely completion of tax-related documentation and compliance requirements.
Analyze financial data and prepare detailed tax reports for internal and external stakeholders, providing insights into tax liabilities, deductions, and credits.
Collaborate with the finance team to develop and implement effective tax planning strategies that align with the company's financial objectives and long-term growth plans.
Proactively identify opportunities to minimize the company's tax liabilities and optimize its overall tax position.
Conduct thorough research on complex tax issues related to commercial real estate investments and transactions, providing valuable insights and recommendations to senior management.
Requirements
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field; CPA certification preferred.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in corporate tax accounting.
Strong understanding of tax laws, regulations, and compliance requirements, with the ability to interpret and apply complex tax concepts effectively.
