We are currently seeking a motivated and skilled line cook to join our team. The role involves working in both the prep kitchen and on the service line. Our cooks are responsible for preparing dishes, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring excellent communication. We look for individuals who understand the components of each dish, as this knowledge enhances their ability to prepare food quickly and interact effectively with guests.
You will be responsible for setting up and managing your own station in the prep kitchen and during evening shifts on the line. We expect all cooks to work collaboratively with other team members, and to complete daily prep and cleaning tasks.
Responsibilities:
- Working with a sense of urgency at all times
- Maintaining cleanliness, sanitation, and order at your station
- Preparing food in the prep kitchen
- Executing dishes on the line to our chefs' specifications
- Communicating any issues to managers and maintaining strong general communication
- Assisting fellow cooks when able
- Maintaining a positive and professional approach with co-workers and customers
- Maintaining personal hygiene, as we operate an open kitchen and prioritize a professional presentation
Qualifications:
- Minimum of two years of cooking experience in a professional kitchen
- Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks, along with a general sense of urgency and pride in your craft
- Ability to perform tasks to our chefs' expectations
Compensation:
- Starting at $16.50/hour + a share of tips (Tips average $17.75/hour).
- Wage will be commensurate on experience.
