Hi and thanks for your interest. We are seeking a very friendly, strong team player to join our dietary team here at Mountain Manor Care Center.
We follow CDC and the State of California sanitary guidelines. Masks and gloves and hairnets are provided. Hairnets must be worn during work hours, consistent and effective handwashing is mandatory, glove use when handling food preparation.
You receive 2 meals a shift for free and of course drinks as you desire.
Experience in a hospital, nursing home or restaurant kitchen is very helpful, but if you are a very reliable person with strong attention to detail, with clean and sanitary work habits and willing to be part of a strong team, then no experience is needed. Must be able to time manage yourself during your shift and ensuring quality work in a timely fashion.
The main duties include building trays and loading meal carts following the printed diet tray tickets for each resident, pouring of drinks, portioning desserts, doing dishes after the meal and sweeping and mopping your work area.
We use diet spreadsheets, recipes and menus, so each day you know exactly what to do and for how many, no surprises like in a restaurant.
You will receive quality training to assure your success, this is essential for everyone to ensure a smooth shift. You will never be left on your own if you need help. This a a very positive and team oriented kitchen.
Please, we will not tolerate drama and negative attitudes.
This is a AM and PM coverage shift. AM shift is 5:30 am to 2:00 pm, PM shift is12:30 pm to 9:00 p.m. This position is a 4 days on, 2 days off schedule which assures everyone gets a Friday, Saturday and Sunday off when they fall on your rotation, so a great quality of life. If a holiday falls on your shift, your off unless you wish to work it for someone else at double time pay.
Reliable transportation is a must.
Sometimes department needs and life's situations happens, so being flexible is greatly appreciated. The same consideration will be given to you as well should you need time off.
