We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Line Cook to join our kitchen team. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a fast-paced culinary environment and possess excellent cooking skills. As a Line Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking menu items according to our restaurant's recipes and standards, ensuring high-quality dishes are served to our guests.

Responsibilities:

Food Preparation: Prepare ingredients for menu items according to recipes, including chopping vegetables, cutting meat, and measuring ingredients.

Cooking: Cook and prepare menu items, including appetizers, entrees, and desserts, ensuring adherence to established cooking methods, portion sizes, and presentation standards.

Station Setup: Set up and stock stations with necessary supplies and ingredients before each shift to ensure a smooth service.

Cooking Techniques: Utilize various cooking methods, including grilling, frying, baking, sautéing, and broiling, to prepare menu items to order.

Timing and Coordination: Coordinate cooking times with other kitchen staff to ensure timely preparation and delivery of menu items during busy service periods.

Quality Control: Monitor the quality of ingredients and finished dishes to ensure they meet our restaurant's standards for freshness, taste, and appearance.

Sanitation and Safety: Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including proper food handling, storage, and sanitation practices in accordance with health and safety regulations.

Inventory Management: Assist in monitoring inventory levels and informing the kitchen manager of any shortages or discrepancies.

Adherence to Recipes: Follow standardized recipes and portion sizes to maintain consistency in food quality and presentation.

Collaboration: Communicate effectively with kitchen team members, including chefs, sous chefs, and other line cooks, to ensure efficient workflow and teamwork.

Requirements:

Previous experience as a line cook or in a similar culinary role.

Strong knowledge of cooking techniques, kitchen equipment, and food safety procedures.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

Excellent knife skills and proficiency in food preparation techniques.

Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality dishes.

Ability to follow recipes accurately and consistently.

Effective communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.

Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Culinary school diploma or equivalent experience is preferred.

Physical stamina and the ability to stand for extended periods and lift heavy objects.
