Long time Midtown favorite Mexican restaurant is seeking to fill positions for Host/Hostess, Line Cook, Dishwasher & AP (Expediter). All positions require a California Food Handlers Card.
LINE COOK DESCRIPTION
We are currently seeking experienced line cooks for day and night time positions, full and part time available. Successful candidates must have at least 1 year experience as a line cook.
Job Duties & Requirements
Responsible for preparing ingredients for production according to recipes/directions
Assists with food production
Cut and clean a variety of fruits, vegetables, and proteins using a knife and/or cutting machines
Produce food for breakfast, lunch, dinner and catered events
Follow all recipes and guidelines while meeting production deadlines
Maintain a clean and organized station and prep area
High volume prep experience preferred
Interpersonal and organizational skills
Utilization of knife cuts in a fast, efficient and safe manner
Sense of urgency
Knowledge of safety and sanitation in the work place
High volume production & large batch cooking
Working Conditions:
Line Cook is subjected to various temperatures for long hours. Must be physically able to lift, reach, bend, stoop, and work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 8 hours). Applicants must be available days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
DISHWASHER DESCRIPTION
The dishwasher will be responsible for washing pots and pans, plates and silverware, empty garbage, sweep and mop kitchen during service.
Minimum Qualifications:
1+ year experience as a dishwasher preferred but not required
Excellent communication skills
Must be able to work weekends, holidays and evenings
Able to follow instructions and work as part of a team
Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
Compensation depending on experience.
