Parkside is currently interviewing for an Innkeeper position as well as a Housekeeping position - both part time.
INNKEEPER POSITION:
Our 12-room Inn & Spa needs innkeepers to serve as the face of our business and management’s connection with our guests. We’re looking for friendly individuals who genuinely enjoy being around people and who can manage multiple tasks at once. The ideal candidates will have previous customer service experience and will understand the importance of responding quickly to guests’ needs and complaints. You’ll be corresponding with guests through our reservation systems, email, over the phone and in person. If you’ve worked in the hotel industry before, we definitely want to talk to you. However, we’re also willing to train the right applicant.
Hotel Front Desk Receptionist responsibilities and duties:
Answer phones to respond to current and prospective guests’ needs
Book reservations for lodging and spa visits as required
Greet walk-in guests and guests with reservations when they arrive at the front desk
Schedule special services, such as spa treatments, when guests inquire
Refer guests to local services and venues
Handle guests’ requests and report feedback/complaints to management
Works with housekeepers to make sure rooms are ready for guests (including assisting in cleaning them in a pinch)
Hotel Front Desk Receptionist qualifications and skills
2+ years’ customer service experience preferred
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Friendly in-person and phone manner a must
Willingness to work weekends and holidays
Familiarity with the hospitality industry a plus
Willingness to maintain confidentiality
Second language a plus
Must be available to work evening and maybe some morning shifts with varying schedule, we can work with someone who may only be able to fill a few days of shifts. Weekends and holidays are our busiest so we expect workers to be able to work at least one weekend day and holidays.
Innkeepers work with inn and spa guests throughout their stay from booking to checkout, coordinating with housekeepers and spa staff to present a great guest experience.
Candidates should have strong computer skills and ability to operate cloud based reservation systems - macs and IOS devices used so experience here a plus.

ROOM ATTENDANT POSITION
Room Attendant/Housekeepers are responsible for cleaning rooms that guests have vacated and preparing them for new guests to occupy as well as keeping the property clean and tidy on the outside and inside areas. The housekeeping shift is also responsible for cleaning the kitchen following breakfast, cleaning the common lounge areas, doing some laundry throughout their shift and communicating maintenance needs to management. We are having our sheets cleaned by a local cleaner so this will be small amounts of laundry.
Must be available to work 10am – 3pm shifts with varying schedule, we can work with someone who may only be able to fill a few days of shifts. Weekends and holidays are our busiest so we expect workers to be able to work at least one weekend day and holidays. This is a part time job that could lead to full time based on your desire and ability!
Our ideal candidate can work independently, efficiently and anticipate areas to assist without being asked to do a task. We are a family operated business and would love to have you join our team.

Salary: $20.00 / hour ($19.00 / hour during training process which should be completed in 2-4 weeks).
Requires the ability to move and lift up to 25 lbs. Standing, sitting or walking for extended periods of time and ensuring a professional demeanor, clear communication and appearance in a clean uniform are also required. Prior to employment, we’ll ask you to complete safety training and certification.
