New year new job!
I’m a 37 year old quadriplegic on a ventilator looking for a caregiver who is positive, punctual, and a quick learner. Experience is appreciated but not required since we will train you on everything, including the ventilator.
Will be paid through IHSS $17 per hour.
MUST BE REGISTERED WITH IHSS
Afternoon shift available Friday through Tuesday 3pm-11pm. Shift involves physical range of motion throughout your shift. Breathing exercises, cooking/prepping simple meals and light housekeeping also required. Hoyer lift and sling will be used at the end of your shift. We will find shows/movies/game shows/scary movies that we both will want to watch and have conversation throughout the shift. This is a companion job and if you are not comfortable then this probably isn’t the job for you You will be required to do small tasks in between watching shows with me. Must have driver’s license for this shift.
Morning shift 7am-4pm on Monday because you will be taking me to PT. Tuesdays 7am to 3pm this shift includes :
feeding breakfast, minor grooming, in bed bowel program with digital stem, physical assistance, breathing exercises/treatments, dressing me for the day, using a hoyer lift to get out of bed and into chair. You’ll be properly trained on anything you need. Must have driver’s license for this shift.
Must be pet friendly. Small dog and 3 cats.
Must be 420 friendly since it’s part of my daily medication.
