Certified Medical Assistant Part Time later on full time
We are an established medical office seeking a hardworking, friendly, honest, energetic, and dynamic Certified Medical Assistant for part-time hours, later on full time.
Duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
1. Scheduling tests, familiar with e-prescribe, and managing daily patient flow - including rooming patients and taking blood pressure. Must be computer literate.
2. Answering phone calls and scheduling appointments.
3. Verifying insurance eligibility and benefits.
4. Making referrals to sub-specialists, and managing prescription call-backs from pharmacies.
5. Collecting co-pay payments.
6. And other administrative duties including, but not limited to, filing, data entry, and other duties as assigned.
7. Willing to submit to a background-check and drug test.
Job Qualifications:
- Must possess a friendly positive attitude, as this position requires continuous contact and communication with patients and constituents every day.
- Must be detail-oriented and organized, a quick learner and have strong verbal communication skills and work well with other team members.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and have sufficient face-to-face customer service experience.
- Proficiency with computers (PC) is required. This position will require entering basic information into our electronic medical record system. Experience with Epic-Experience working as a Certified Medical Assistant, including billing and electronic Rx. We are looking for a team player with a positive attitude who will be a great fit for our team.
