ILS Worker
Qualifications:
Required: High School graduate or possess a GED or equivalent.
Possess valid CA driver license, and a safe, reliable, registered and currently insured vehicle. .
Job Descriptions:
(3) The direct care staff shall possess the following minimum qualifications:
(A) Education and experience required in the job description; and
(B) The ability to perform the functions required in the program design.
(e) The vendor shall assign staff to carry out administrative support functions, including clerical, janitorial, and bookkeeping or accounting.
(1) The vendor is authorized to hire staff directly to carry out such functions or to secure the performance of such functions from other entities.
(2) The administrative support staff shall demonstrate experience and the ability to perform the functions described in the job description.
(f) The vendor is authorized to use volunteers to augment paid staff providing the conditions in sections 56722 (a) through (d) of these regulations are met.
(g) The vendor is authorized to assign staff to operate a motor vehicle for the purpose of carrying out assigned functions. The vendor shall assure that such staff possess a current valid driver's license which is appropriate for the type of vehicle to be driven.
(h) The vendor shall assure that any consultant it utilizes shall comply with all California licensing, certification, registration and vendorization requirements applicable to the functions to be carried out
Duty Statement:
Ensure the quality completion and implementation of all training session to improve independent living skills plans.
Provide the client with training intervention, learning supports, ILS training supervision, and client decision-making.
Analyze difficult situations and use good professional judgment as to the appropriate and timely course of action when working with a client during training activities.
Perform ongoing quality assurance within training sessions to ensure personalized services and supports are consistently provided at the highest standards.
ILS Workers will participate in the on-going training, employee supervision appraisal, and have a willingness to accept professional feedback.
Manage multiple tasks, responsibilities, and duties with minimal supervision.
Maintain a positive work environment. Promote teamwork, positive attitudes, and cohesiveness among clients.
Communicate with staff, management, and all others contacted during work in a professional and timely manner will out in the community or in a client’s home.
Maintain professional demeanor during any situation.
Work hours: The ILS Worker service hours will be from Monday-Saturday 8:00 AM to 7:00 PM. NCA main office is closed on weekends but Saturday sessions are available to clients between 8:00 AM-7:00 PM when ILS Worker support are available
