We are immediately hiring for a live-in caregiver to provide care to our elderly residents.
Required Job Duties/Skills:
-Must be 18 years of age
-Attend to resident's needs quickly and efficiently. The employee must maintain each resident's personal dignity, personal safety, and confidentiality.
-Able to read and follow resident's care plans to ensure proper care is provided.
-Able to lift, push and pull 50 lbs.
-Able to complete or assist with resident's daily living activities (ADL's), which include bathing, dressing, hygiene, toilet transfers, etc.
-Able to perform basic housekeeping skills, which includes cleaning, sweeping, mopping, cooking, laundry, etc.
-Assist residents by transferring them in and out of their bed or wheelchair. This will require safety techniques and protocols.
-Maintain a safe work and living environment for all the residents and other employees.
-Excellent communication skills
Required Employee Traits:
-Positive attitude with residents, family members, medical staff, and supervising staff.
-Positive team effort is a must.
-Self-motivated and maintain a professional appearance while on duty.
Preferred Skills/Certificates
-Current First Aid/CPR certification
-Prior training with elderly care and memory care
Job Description:
Candidates should have some experience within this field, have compassion for the elderly, reliable and be responsible
individuals. We would prefer someone who can handle housekeeping. One of your responsibilities will be assisting with bathing, looking, cleaning and other ADL's. Preferences for a caregiver who has excellent verbal/communication skills, CPR, and First Aid certified. The house is located in a beautiful, safe, and upscale neighborhood. The house has 6-residents, but there are always two employees on duty. The caregiver will be required to attend to residents in the middle of the night as needed. We would like someone who is a self-starter with positive energy and a great attitude! Pay will be based on experience and the desire to learn hands-on experience. Live-in candidates will have private accommodations.
