We are looking for a reliable, kind-hearted caregiver to assist a courteous, friendly 50 year old quadriplegic man (C5/C6 spinal cord injury) who lives near Old Auburn Road in Citrus Heights.
We hope to find someone to work 8:30 am to 11:00 am, Mondays through Fridays.
Duties include these tasks, performed as a team with another caregiver. Training will be provided:
Stretching/range of motion
Transferring from bed to wheelchair and shower chair (employer weighs 170 lbs, lift available)
Conducting personal hygiene (e.g. showering, brushing teeth)
Maintaining urinary catheter
Dressing
Skin care
Assisting with exercise program
Administering medications
The qualified candidate works well with others, accepts direction gracefully, and lives close by. Non-smokers, please, and a current CA driver's license is preferred. Employment starts in the next two weeks.
