Job Summary: We are seeking a highly organized and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our infusion department at Health Associates Medical Group. We are a small, well-established practice with four doctors and have been serving our community from the same location for over 30 years. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting the IV nurse, healthcare providers, ensuring efficient clinical operations, and delivering high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment. This role requires adaptability and a willingness to learn other positions within the office, as we work as a team and support one another when needed. If you see something that needs to be done, take initiative and do it. Collaboration and flexibility are key in maintaining a smooth and efficient workplace.

Key Responsibilities:

-Review and update the daily IV schedule, pulling and preparing patient charts as needed.

-Maintain a well-stocked IV supply area, ensuring all necessary equipment and materials are readily available.

-Greet patients upon arrival, verify their IV treatment against the schedule, and document any necessary changes.

-Prepare patients for IV therapy, confirming site preference and arranging supplies such as pillows, heating pads, and lab materials.

-Monitor patient arrivals and set up treatment areas promptly to maintain efficient flow.

-Conduct regular rounds to assess IV drip rates, patient comfort, and treatment progress.

-Coordinate with front office staff to ensure accurate billing and schedule updates.

-Respond promptly to patient needs, including answering call bells and addressing any discomfort.

-Maintain strict infection control measures, regularly sanitizing IV rooms and equipment.

-Assist in administrative tasks such as scheduling, filing, and verifying treatment documentation.

-Support additional office duties as needed to ensure seamless clinic operations.

Qualifications:

-Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) preferred. Phlebotomist is a plus, we do have a lab in office.

-Experience in a medical office or infusion setting is highly desirable.

-Ability to chart correctly (paper charting), use Collaborate, USPS postage system.

-Excellent communication and multitasking skills.

-Ability to work collaboratively in a small team-oriented environment.

CPR/BLS certification required (or willingness to obtain upon hire).
