Looking for a rewarding part-time job (15-30hrs week) that pays well AND leaves you plenty of time for school and other stuff? The starting hourly rate is $17 with individual health coverage, dental and 401(k).
I am a civil rights lawyer living with my wife and son. I have a significant physical disability and need help with basic care such as getting dressed for work, eating breakfast, getting ready for bed and other activities that I'm unable to do by myself.
NO prior attendant work experience required, my wife and I will provide all the job training needed.
Brief description of common caregiver activities:
bathing, dressing, and transferring from bed to wheelchair and vice-versa
stretching and range of motion exercises
assistance with wheelchair transfers & positioning using a hoyer lift
meal preparation and assistance feeding
light housekeeping tasks (vacuuming, laundry, cleaning the area where you work)
Please Note: This job requires moderate to occasionally heavy physical activity. You should be able to safely lift 50 pounds multiple times per shift.
Shifts/Availability:
- Morning shifts are from 7:30am to 12pm and evening shifts are from 7:30pm-11pm
- You can choose your own schedule from available shifts and we ask that you maintain a regular and consistent schedule
- In order to qualify, you need to be able to do a minimum of 3 shifts (15 hrs)
- You can work up to 6 shifts (30 hrs) if you'd like
Requirements:
- Maintaining up-to-date vaccination
- Reliable transportation (i.e. bicycle, bus, car)
- Able to work legally in US (e.g., citizen or legal resident)
- Able to pass a criminal background check
