Orthodontic RDA Position Available
Job Summary:
We are a private orthodontic practice in Elk Grove that strives to provide the highest level of orthodontic care to our community. Our goal is to find the perfect addition to our team who can assist in the delivery of high quality orthodontic treatment. We are looking for someone who not only has the necessary clinical skills, but more importantly is outgoing, energetic, and looking for a long term career oriented position.
Specific Minimum Duties and Responsibilities:
Make all patients and their family feel like a welcomed and valued guest in our office

Be open to cross training, learning new things, and not afraid to take on new challenges
Comfortable working with computers (Orthotrac management and imaging, Microsoft office)
Assist doctor during appliance placement, give oral hygiene and orthodontic care instructions
Archwire removal, placement, untie and retie
Take and pour study model/retainer impressions, radiographs, and photographs
Assist doctor during new patient exams and be able to communicate treatment options, financial policies,
schedule follow up appointments and complete associated paperwork
Inform and update patients and parents on treatment progress and encourage desired cooperation
Sterilize and disinfect instruments and equipment
Can work in compliance with established in office policies and procedures, OSHA, and MSDS guidelines
Prepare treatment trays, instruments, and patient chair for all related orthodontic procedures
Experience with Invisalign, Herbst and/or Forsus Appliance, and self-ligating brackets a plus
Required Qualifications and Experience:
CA RDA license, X-ray, and coronal polish certification
Current CPR Certification
Basic computer skills (Microsoft Windows), Ortho management software experience a plus
Knowledge of current OSHA, infection control, and safety compliance guidelines

Previous orthodontic chairside assisting experience
Compensation: D.O. E., hourly wage 33hrs. per week, Mon. – Thurs.
