CAREGIVER needed for long term, private, in home care for a sweet, silly, quadriplegic, young adult.
Hours of need:
Monday, Wednesday, Friday 9-5 pm AND
A Saturday OR A Sunday 9-5 pm
With an occasional/special evening and/or weekend shift (preplanned with you)
Ideal candidate must be compassionate, patient, and empathetic.
Strong work ethic of reliability, punctuality, and self-motivation is important
Be pet (CAT) friendly.
Skills required:
Education:
Minimum of High school Graduate or equivalency in literacy and mathematics.
Healthcare tasks to be performed:
Patient stimulation/entertainment (reading, music, games, etc)
Gastrostomy tube feeding + stoma care
Medication prep and administration
Hoyer lift transfers
Bed bathing + patient hygiene + oral care
Incontinence care
Intermittent catheterization
Therapeutic positioning
Monitoring inventory of:
-medical supplies
-medications
-feeding supplies
-cleaning supplies
Communicate closely with family
IF YOU FIND YOU ARE UNFAMILIAR WITH SOME PROCEDURES, I can train you.
Additional duties also include daily, light housekeeping and domestic assistance.
-CONSENT for background check and random drug testing is required.
-Proof of eligibility to work in the U.S. required, also.
