Maintenance Technician II/III
Sacramento based organization is seeking an attentive Maintenance Technician II/III to join their team!
Full-time, Monday-Friday, 8:00AM-4:30PM (30 min. lunch)
Non-exempt
Duties and Responsibilities:
Intermediate competency with the following: plumbing (water heaters, drain clearing, fixture replacement), light electrical, appliance repair, painting and carpentry
Familiarity with building systems including fire sprinkler, fire alarm, and central mechanical
Complete emergency and routine work orders, and apartment make-ready tasks
Solid understanding of general building maintenance, including work order management and scheduling unit turnover
Repair or replace floors, ceilings, walls, siding, roofing, doors, door hardware, windows, screens, and other general building items
Maintain property curb appeal
Apply knowledge of use and care of hand and power tools and equipment
Ability to take direction from a supervisor and work independently through task completion
Interact with contractors, vendors and suppliers
Maintain accurate records of daily mechanical rounds
Exceptional customer service
Basic computer skills, including ability to use smart phone and tablet
Understanding of property management software and key management systems
Advanced use of hand tools and basic power tool knowledge
Effective troubleshooting and problem solving
Experience working with vendors, contractors, and suppliers
Attention to detail and consistently doing the job right the first time
Skills, Education and Experience:
HS diploma or equivalent
Minimum 2-3 years relevant experience required
Excellent oral and written skills
Strong organizational skills
Qualifications:
Must be 18 years of age or older to apply
Drug Screening and background check applicable
Work is performed while standing, sitting and/or walking, bending squatting, crawling, climbing, reaching, etc
Good communication written/verbal
Requires the use of hands for simple grasping and fine manipulations
Ability to lift, carry, push or pull medium weights, up to 50 pounds
Requires activities involving being around moving machinery, exposure to marked changes in temperature and humidity, and exposure to dust, fumes
