Cleaning Inspector Opening

Must be bilingual (Spanish and English) This is a part-time job! This is a long term position! We're not looking for someone to be on board temporarily, we're just looking for the long term.

This individual goes on various cleaning projects, to inspect cleaning, replenish cleaning supplies, take care of any cleaning issues while using our company van (such as cleaning hard water stains from sinks, rearranging bedding, and fluffing pillows, dusting, etc.) and takes care of high lights - (Clean light fixtures and change light bulbs - May require use of a 6 foot ladder, which we supply) Work hours are generally 8:00 am to 5:00 pm on Mondays, Thursdays and Fridays, as well as every other Saturday morning.

The job candidate will use our company van, which is monitored via our integrated tracking system. The company van must not be used for any personal use of any kind. No one other than a current employee of our company is authorized inside the vehicle. The company van will be parked at the employee's home, as the employee will leave their home to go to projects.

The employee is paid once the employee arrives at that day's scheduled work location, not the time it takes to travel back and forth to work. There will be times when you will need to work into the evening. When working in the evenings, it will include covering projects for cleaners who are taking time off, interviewing cleaners, training cleaners and working closely with cleaners who need help with further training. There may be times when the employee will need to cover a project or work with a cleaner to help them see what areas of improvements need to be made. You must be able to train new cleaners or work with existing cleaners to help develop their cleaning skills. (We train new employees in this)

Must be able to schedule and configure initial cleanup on projects. (We train new employees in this) Must be able to be in charge of initial cleanup. (We train new employees in this) Must be able to come to the main office in Pleasanton, Once every other month, in our company vehicle, for training, supplies, etc. You must have a smartphone and be able to make calls, text and email and be in communication throughout the day. You should be VERY comfortable using a smartphone.

You must have a personal computer and printer to print information emailed from our office that is relevant to your daily work schedule. You must understand that almost everything is urgent, so time is important, return calls, emails, etc. Must be able to provide inspection reports, receipts, etc. EVERY NIGHT, by email. YOU MUST BE ON TIME!

You must be willing to drive wherever you are needed, in our company van. (This includes as far south as Hollister and as far north as El Dorado Hills, although the Bay Area is rare. There may be some occasions when the employee is asked to travel to Vacaville, Brentwood, and the like. It's all done in our company vehicle.

You must have a clean driving record and must be insured to drive in California. You must have a VALID California state license on hand at the time of applying.

Must be available on Mondays, Thursdays and Fridays for vacancies, inspections, additional cleanings, etc. This means making appointments or personal plans only on Tuesdays and Wednesdays and alternate weekends.

Must be able to lift 40 pounds without problems. Must be able to climb a 6 foot ladder without problems. Must be able to bend, kneel, and walk for long periods of time.

You need to understand that if something needs to be done in the models, while you are inspecting it, you should do it and make a note of it. You must be able to speak with other cleaners, in a friendly but professional manner, at all times. You should understand that when you leave a project, all issues should have been resolved and the front office should not receive any calls regarding issues, concerns, or calls from cleaners needing supplies. You must have and be able to use common sense! .

Must be able to take ownership of an area, feel responsible for all projects and cleaners. You should be able to understand, that although we are a cleaning company, we take pride in our work and exude that same attitude to everyone, including the cleaners, sales staff, etc.

No benefits, no paid vacation. We work all holidays except Christmas, New Year's, Easter, if they land on a holiday, and Thanksgiving, which we move to another day that week.
