We are seeking a detail oriented team leader to oversee our delivery for our local newspaper group. Our market area includes Carmichael, Citrus Heights, Rancho Cordova, Fair Oaks, Orangevale, Gold River, Rio Linda, Arden Arcade, Elk Grove, Galt, East Sacramento, Land Park, Pocket and Rancho Murieta in Sacramento County, as well as our publications in Yolo, Solano, Yuba, Butte and Colusa counties.
We are a growing company and Messenger Publishing Group is now the largest newspaper publisher in the Sacramento region with 18 publications.
This position includes overseeing all aspects of our circulation department, including the delivery by our independent delivery driver team. It includes completing weekly reports for our audit records, managing subscriber lists and distribution records, setting up new delivery location accounts, distributing promotional materials to locations, verifying delivery of drivers, replacing newsstands on location, and overall maintenance of our newsstands.
Distribution days are Thursday and Friday. Other work days are flexible due to workloads. You must be able to perform the physical requirements of this position without assistance. You must be mechanically inclined and able to repair and replace parts on the newsstand units without assistance. All tools, parts and training provided. Company vehicles are provided for this position.
