Position: Senior Caregiver
Location: Davis, CA
Compensation: $30/hour (includes IHSS payment + additional pay)
Schedule: Thursday to Sunday, 2:00 pm - 7:00 pm (No early mornings)
We are seeking a dedicated, detail-oriented, and compassionate caregiver for our mother, who requires support in daily activities and companionship. This role is ideal for a caregiver who has experience with seniors, particularly those who may have English as a second language. The ideal candidate will bring kindness, patience, and a high level of professionalism to this position.
Responsibilities:
Companionship and Engagement: Build a warm, friendly rapport with our mother, ensuring she feels supported and valued.
Transportation: Drive our mother to the grocery store, doctor's appointments, and other errands as needed. (A clean, reliable car is essential.)
Personal Care Support: Provide gentle massages, helping her stay comfortable and relaxed.
Cooking and Meal Preparation: Prepare healthy meals and assist with light kitchen cleanup, keeping dietary preferences in mind.
Housekeeping: Maintain a tidy environment in key living areas, helping with light cleaning as needed.
Translation Support: Assist with translation if required, as English is a second language for our mother.
Requirements:
Experience: Prior experience in senior care, including cooking, cleaning, and managing senior-specific needs.
Attention to Detail: Ability to follow detailed instructions meticulously.
Personality: Patient, loving, and kind, with a genuine interest in providing exceptional care.
Reliable Transportation: Clean, safe vehicle for transport.
Physical Capability: Able to perform light massage and assist with grocery and doctor visits.
Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively in a second-language environment and provide translation as needed.
