We are seeking a Skilled General Construction laborer to join our team in Sacramento!
Hours: 7am to 3:30pm
Location: Greater Sacramento
Pay: $60k-$80k yearly ($28-$38/hr)
The General Construction Worker will assist in projects under the direction of a foreman. Projects will consist of TI (tenant improvements) and commercial remodels. Should fulfill the tasks assigned to them with attention to detail, speed, and a positive attitude. When tasks are completed, they should be self-directed and find the next important task.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist with various construction tasks, such as the pouring of concrete, forming, mixing, rebar, and finishing
Operate hand and power tools as directed by the construction team
Clean and prepare construction sites
Assist with the installation of construction components such as scaffolding, concrete forms, and temporary structures
Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment
Load/unload building materials and equipment from trucks and distribute them to the appropriate location(s)
Dig trenches, backfill holes, and compact earth in preparation for construction
Assist with drywall, wall coverings, painting, finishes & specialties
Comfortable around overhead cranes, forklifts, and vertical lifts
Qualifications:
1+ years previous (field) experience in similar role preferred
Ability to work independently/ as a part of a team
Adhere to safety protocols and procedures in accordance with industry regulations and company policies
Valid driver’s license
Good written and verbal communication skills
Keen attention to detail
Documentation and reporting skills
Ability to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods of time during shift
Can lift up to 50 lbs.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals
Physical strength and stamina to perform manual labor tasks
Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team
Basic knowledge of construction tools and equipment
Certifications:
OSHA 10 (Safety Certification)
