Family law firm is seeking to expand its practice with the addition of a full-time Family Law Associate Attorney.
The position is for a detail-oriented, organized, compassionate, and energetic attorney who has the desire to learn and grow within a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have 1 to 3 years experience and excellent written and verbal communication skills in addition to writing and research skills. We are seeking a candidate who is able to multi-task, be a self-starter with excellent work ethic, positive attitude, and a team player. You must have the desire to work hard to help and retain clients.
Duties
- Assist clients in all stages of family law cases, including divorce, child custody, and adoption
- Conduct legal research
- Draft legal documents such as pleadings, motions, etc
- Review and analyze client files to gather relevant information for cases
- Prepare and organize exhibits, evidence, and other legal documents for trial
- Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and court
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date case files and documentation
Qualifications
- Familiarity with court rules and procedures related to family law cases
- Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Experience in negotiating settlements and litigating family law cases is a plus
This position offers the opportunity to work on all aspects of a case and gain substantial litigation experience including client intakes, conducting legal research, drafting motions, propounding and responding to discovery, arguing law and motion matters, trial preparation and trial.
