Family Law Firm in Granite Bay has an immediate opening for an experienced Paralegal with the ability to perform delegated substantive legal work. 2+ years of family law experience is required. 32-40 hours per week. Excellent organizational, writing, and communication skills are essential.
The ideal candidate is a self-starter with the ability to:
Efficiently prioritize multiple assignments in a timely manner.
Organize detailed financial documents.
Participate in case planning, development and management.
Must be familiar with legal calendaring timelines and local and state court rules.
Duties include preparation, proofreading, filing, and service of legal documents, managing attorney calendars, organizing and maintaining client's physical and electronic files, correspondence and communication with clients, courts, and attorneys, trial binder preparation, answering phones, gathering information and documents from clients, etc.
Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, MyCase, Adobe Acrobat, DissoMaster, Proprietizer, Lawyaw, and Client Database.
Must have knowledge of Civil Procedure, Family Law procedures and Local Rules. Must have knowledge of Discovery procedures.
Applicants must be able to work cooperatively, communicate well, have a professional appearance and demeanor, good judgment, and exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
Paralegal certificate required.
