ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
The Design Assistant will work closely with the Interior Designers and Project Managers in performing all aspects of a design project. This position demands a self-motivated, task oriented and an energetic individual with the ability to be flexible in design changes.
Skills Required:
Possess some competency in aspects of interior design.
Assist the designer in selecting materials, ordering samples, managing receiving and storing and maintaining inventory
of on-going projects.
Monitor and track jobs from conception to completion, working with vendors to ensure product availability and
ability to meet delivery deadlines.
Create project documentation – work orders, design packages.
Develop, update and maintain Design Books for design projects.
Attend assigned meetings and project walk throughs – Keep accurate notes, recap to group and follow through on all
design changes.
Microsoft word, outlook and excel skills are required.
Chief Architect or 20/20 skills would be a plus.
Full-time position.
