POSITION SUMMARY:
Under the direction of the Yolo County YMCA Executive Director the Pool Manager will assist with the supervision and evaluation of lifeguard staff, schedules and coordinates lifeguard training's, and ensures all certification requirements are met by staff. Focus will be on providing a safe and clean atmosphere for pool patrons.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Supervise pool staff; review and submit staff time sheets.
Oversee the implementation of aquatic activities and schedules.
Lead and participate in teaching lessons.
Life guard as needed
Respond to parent and participant concerns.
Assure that the Aquatic Safety and Risk Management programs are in place.
Ensure daily cleaning duties are done to pool area.
Check daily for pool chemical balance.
Knowledge of all Safety and Emergency procedures.
Responsible for ensuring safety of pool activities and mechanical systems during evening and weekend hours.
All other duties as assigned by your supervisor
QUALIFICATIONS:
High school graduate or equivalent.
Three years prior experience in aquatics teaching children and adults.
Two years prior experience in supervision.
Current certification in Standard First Aid, CPR for the Professional Rescuer, Title 22, YMCA Lifeguard Instructor and YMCA Certified Swim Instructor.
Completion of the YMCA of Superior California Pre and Post-Employment Checklist.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Sufficient strength, agility and mobility to perform essential functions of position including teaching swim lessons and life guarding and to supervise program activities.

Salary: $14.00 to $16.00 /hour depending on experience
