We are seeking an enthusiastic, detail-oriented Assistant Manager to help lead our team in delivering excellent customer service and maintaining the highest standards in our specialty bicycle shop. The Assistant Manager will work closely with the Store Manager, overseeing daily operations, ensuring a smooth customer experience, and helping grow the business by meeting sales goals and maintaining inventory.
Responsibilities:
Assist the Store Manager in overseeing daily operations, including opening and closing the shop.
Provide exceptional customer service, helping customers with product selection, bike fittings, repairs, and special orders.
Assist in inventory management, including receiving stock, organizing displays, and conducting regular inventory checks.
Handle customer concerns and resolve issues in a timely and professional manner.
Ensure that the shop is clean, organized, and presents well to customers.
Help with scheduling staff shifts and managing payroll as needed.
Work with the Store Manager to develop and implement sales strategies and promotional events.
Ensure compliance with all company policies and local regulations.
Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of bicycles, accessories, and current cycling trends.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in retail management, preferably in the cycling or outdoor sports industry.
Strong knowledge of bicycles and bicycle components is a plus.
Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Basic mechanical knowledge of bicycles and accessories is a plus.
Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in business management or a related field is a bonus.
