As a Service Writer, you will be the key point of contact between customers and our service department. Key Responsibilities:
Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner
Assist customers with service inquiries, both in-person and over the phone
Create work orders for repairs, ensuring all details are accurately captured
Provide accurate estimates for service and repairs
Communicate effectively with mechanics to ensure repairs are completed on time
Keep customers updated on the status of their bikes
Maintain service records and manage schedules for the service department
Upsell relevant products or services based on customer needs
Assist with stocking, organizing, and cleaning the service area
Qualifications:
Prior experience in bicycle shop setting
Strong knowledge of bicycles, parts, and maintenance
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
Excellent organizational and time-management skills
Friendly and positive attitude with a passion for cycling
Proficiency with point-of-sale (POS) systems and general computer use
