Gain lab experience with on-the-job training at our state licensed facility. No prior experience needed. There are two positions available that involve caring for tissue culture cannabis plants: propagation and planting.
Lab Assistant Summary of Duties:
Propagation Position:
Primary task - sitting working with small tissue culture plants in a clean lab environment
Secondary tasks - maintaining work space, data entry, filing, organizing
Planting Position:
Primary tasks - sitting working with small tissue culture plants in a nursery environment; standing, lifting, packaging, and storing plants
Secondary tasks - maintaining work space, filing, organizing
Qualities of an ideal candidate:
- Reliable, punctual, and attentive to detail
- Good vision and hand-eye coordination
- Ability to manage high volume of work
- Ability to follow instructions and receive constructive criticism
- High level of personal accountability
- Desire to work in a small, close-knit team environment
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Ability to bend, sit, and stand for long periods of time
Hours and Availability:
- Generally must be available from 6:00am - 2:30pm (Monday - Friday), opportunity for a weekend schedule depending on availability.
- Full time: 40 Hours/Week
- Six month probationary period
