The Hardin Apartments, located at 1110 8th Street in Downtown Sacramento, is currently looking for two people to join our team as members of Night Watch.
Night Watch works 11 PM to 7 AM nightly, including holidays and weekends, and is responsible for ensuring safety and compliance at the property during the specified hours each day.
Duties include, but are not limited to: routinely walking lobbies, halls, corridors, stairwells, common areas and garages and escorting intruders out, or contacting the local police if necessary; ensuring tenants are complying with noise and smoking rules and reporting to the office any offenders; contacting the appropriate tow company and having all vehicles in violation towed; reporting all crime to the police and office; being a source of contact for the tenants to report any crime, disturbance or unusual activity and responding appropriately; and keeping a daily log of activities that is submitted to the office.
Interested candidates must be self-reliant, trustworthy, possess effective communication skills, and be approachable but firm in their approach to the job. Developing good relationships with the management staff and tenants will be crucial.
Compensation for this position is $18.00 per hour and is semi-full time. Each Night Watch member works 11 PM to 7 AM (with 1 hour break) 4 days on/2 days off and repeat. Sick pay is accrued at 8 hours for every 240 hours worked. There are no medical benefits. Holidays are paid at time and a half.
