We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Security Officer to join our Regional Transit team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for passengers and employees. This role requires a proactive approach to security, with an emphasis on surveillance and conflict management. The Security Officer will monitor premises, conduct regular patrols, and respond to incidents as they arise.
Position: Regional Transit Train Guard
We are pleased to announce that approval has been granted to begin hiring for ten (10) Train Guard positions. This is an important step in strengthening our security operations and ensuring the safety and comfort of all passengers.
Position Overview
Train Guards will be responsible for maintaining a visible security presence on board, ensuring passenger safety, and responding appropriately to incidents while trains are in motion. This role requires physical endurance, situational awareness, and the ability to remain alert during extended shifts.
Candidate Requirements
Must be physically capable of standing on a moving train for up to eight (8) hours per shift
Ability to maintain balance and composure during sudden stops and starts
Strong situational awareness and professional presence
Reliable, punctual, and able to follow established procedures and directives
Work Schedule
Shifts may be assigned between 4:30 a.m. and 1:00 a.m.
Most coverage will occur between approximately 8:00 a.m. and 11:00 p.m.
Assignments include Monday through Friday, as well as weekend shifts (subject to final scheduling adjustments).
