$60K base (+) Commission with $120k (+) OTE

We are a growing solar-energy installation company focused on providing top-tier residential and commercial solar solutions. With a reputation for quality and innovation, we are expanding our operations and seeking a motivated Sales and Project Management Leader to join our dynamic team.

Position Summary:

The Sales and Project Management Leader will play a pivotal role in driving sales growth and overseeing project execution from lead generation to installation completion. Ideally, this individual would possess a C-10 Electrical Contractor License and have at least 10 years of experience in solar installations and related services. The ideal candidate will be responsible for handling inbound sales leads, creating and presenting proposals, and ensuring smooth project execution by managing teams and coordinating schedules.

This position will work closely with both local and virtual staff. While the majority of the work can be done from a home office, due to site visits and project oversight, it is essential that the candidate resides in the Sacramento - Placer County region.

Key Responsibilities:

Sales & Proposal Management:

-Generate new business and manage all in-bound leads

-Potentially manage a team of commission - only sales representatives

-Generate sales proposal and contracts that meet margin targets

-Collaborate with the project coordinator to make sure contracted projects are scheduled and completed.

-Present proposals to prospects and close contracts effectively.

-Maintain a high conversion rate through proactive follow-ups and relationship building.

Project Execution & Oversight:

-Engage with project coordinator and foreman who is:

-Conducting site visits when necessary

-Verifying take-offs created by vendors.

-Finalizing material orders.

-Managing the permitting process and timelines.

-Work closely with the lead installer to schedule crews and ensure efficient workflow with minimal downtime between projects.

Team Leadership & Development:

Foster a collaborative and productive team environment, working with both local and virtual staff.

Customer Interaction & Relationship Management:

-Serve as the primary point of contact for prospects and customers throughout the sales and project lifecycle.

-Ensure customer satisfaction by addressing concerns promptly and providing high-quality service.

-Develop long-term relationships with customers to drive repeat business and referrals.

Administrative & Process Improvement:

-Continuously refine sales and project management processes to improve efficiency.

-Track project progress, sales metrics, and customer feedback.

-Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.

Closeout:

As needed, be present at the job site to ensure the inspection passes. If the inspection fails, promptly identify the issues and take immediate corrective action.

Position Skill and Education Requirements:

-C-10 Electrical Contractor License (desired).

-Minimum 10 years of experience in solar installations, including residential and commercial projects.

-Proven track record in sales, project management, and team leadership.

-Proficiency with SolarGraf or similar proposal software.

-Knowledge of Enphase Energy Systems and batteries is required.

-Strong understanding of permitting processes, material procurement, and scheduling.

-Knowledge of photovoltaic systems, NEC requirements, construction practices.

-Knowledge of Tesla/energy storage experience is desirable.

-Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and ensure timely delivery.

-Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.

-Problem-solving mindset with the ability to develop creative solutions for complex projects.

-Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and project management tools.

Must reside in the Placer County region (suburb of Sacramento) due to the nature of site visits and project oversight.

Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
