Job Description:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and certified Smog Check Technician to perform state-required emissions testing and diagnostic services on a wide variety of vehicles. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of vehicle emissions systems, be familiar with local regulatory standards, and be able to perform smog inspections in an efficient and accurate manner.
Responsibilities:
Perform smog checks and emissions testing on cars, trucks, and other vehicles to ensure compliance with state regulations.
Diagnose vehicle issues related to emissions systems and advise customers on necessary repairs.
Maintain detailed records of all inspections and services performed.
Ensure all equipment is properly calibrated and maintained.
Communicate effectively with customers about the smog testing process, results, and any required repairs.
Stay updated with the latest industry standards, emission laws, and testing techniques.
Provide exceptional customer service and ensure a positive experience for all customers.
Qualifications:
Smog Technician Certification (required for the state of CA)
Proven experience as a Smog Check Technician or in a similar automotive service role.
Knowledge of vehicle systems, diagnostics, and emissions control systems.
Excellent attention to detail and ability to perform accurate tests and inspections.
Strong communication skills and customer service-oriented mindset.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
