An award-winning, LA-based documentary filmmaker is interested in stories from people who have been stopped by the police while driving and were subjected to:

Civil Rights Violations

Illegal Search or Seizure of Property

Abusive Police Language

Brutality

Unlawful Arrest

Racial Profiling

Inappropriate Police Behavior

Stories must be factual and supported by documentation (i.e., traffic citation, booking paperwork, court paperwork, audio recording, or video recording). Selected individuals will be invited to an initial, confidential interview compensated at $25/hour.

Documentary filmmaker Jeff Zimbalist has been Academy Award shortlisted, having won a Peabody, a DuPont, and three Emmy Awards to go with 16 Emmy nominations. His films have been shown on Netflix, HBO, Apple, ESPN, Fox, Showtime, CBS, Paramount+ and theatrically exhibited.
