Sacramento area based, commercial electrical contracting company looking to hire a Project Assistant/Engineer.
Job Details:
Build external relationships that promote project success; with General Contractors and/or Project Owners, Subcontractors and Vendors, and other trade Contractors.
Oversee and direct electrical construction projects from conception to completion and assume full leader-ship of position:
Responsible for budgeting, forecasting, manpower acquisition, organization, implementation, and schedul-ing of the projects.
Establish project objectives, policies, procedures, and performance standards
Evaluate the contractual scope of work. Review the project in-depth. Plan, organize and staff key project positions
Initiate and maintain liaison with prime client, superintendents, tier subcontractors and all others to coordi-nate scheduling activities and facilitate successful construction activities
Oversee all onsite and offsite constructions to monitor compliance with jobsite electrical, controls and safe-ty regulations
Coordinate and provide clear and concise direction to lead foreman, crews and subcontractors and review work progress on daily basis to maximize efficiency and control costs
Ensure quality electrical construction standards and the use of proper techniques
Attend job progress meetings as required. Develop and maintain viable long-term relationships with cus-tomers, consultants, general contractors, and subcontractors.
Manage the selection, ordering, and delivery schedule of materials and equipment to be procured for pro-jects
Meet contractual conditions of performance, deadlines and close out
Prepare internal and external reports pertaining to job status
Negotiate and actively pursue work through RFIs, PCOs, Change Orders and track completion and profit-ability
