The successful candidate is punctual, resourceful, can work independently and as part of a team, and can troubleshoot problems that arise on projects. The individual must be able to implement direction coming from the Project Manager and Owner and maintain efficient and constant communication. With a passion for craftsmanship and an eye for detail, you must be knowledgeable and proficient with all phases of construction, have excellent time management skills, understand job site safety, and have a fantastic attitude and work ethic to ensure the job flows smoothly. Compensation is competitive and dependent on experience.
Overview:
- Work with other subcontractors to ensure work is completed in an efficient and effective manner
- Constant communication with the Project Manager. Inform PM with any on-site issues, scheduling delays, etc.
- Job sites are laid out to ensure each phase flows seamlessly.
- Labor and material needs or changes are clearly communicated with the Project Manager.
- Perform any construction tasks needed to meet deadlines.
- Work is completed on time and within budgeted hours.
- Professionalism on the job site (no smoking on the site, proper attire representative of the company)
- Customer satisfaction is maintained throughout the project.
- Ensure job site safety
Requirements:
- 3-10+ years in the construction industry as a carpenter.
- Must utilize a smartphone from the field for emailing and text messaging.
- Must be able to read and interpret plans.
- Must be knowledgeable in all trades. Extensive rough and finish carpentry skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to speak professionally with clients &
subcontractors.
- Ability to identify and troubleshoot various issues.
- Able to run projects with minimal supervision.
