Job Overview:

The HVAC Parts Assistant Manager will be responsible for managing and overseeing the day-to-day operations of our HVAC parts department. This role requires a strong understanding of HVAC systems and parts, as well as excellent organizational and leadership skills. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a similar role and a proven track record of efficiently managing a parts department.

Key Responsibilities:

- Oversee the daily operations of the HVAC parts department, ensuring timely and accurate processing of orders and inventory management

- Train, mentor and supervise a team of parts specialists to ensure exceptional customer service and efficient workflow

- Work closely with the purchasing department to maintain adequate stock levels and identify cost-saving opportunities

- Develop and implement strategies to increase parts sales and improve overall department performance

- Manage and maintain relationships with suppliers to negotiate favorable pricing and ensure timely delivery of parts

- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures related to parts ordering, inventory control, and returns

- Develop and manage an efficient system for tracking and accounting for all parts sales and inventory

- Provide technical assistance and support to customers and parts specialists as needed

- Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in HVAC parts to make informed decisions for the department

Qualifications:

- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the HVAC industry

- Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, parts, and terminology

- Proven leadership and team management skills

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Highly organized with a strong attention to detail

- Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions

- Proficient in Microsoft Office and inventory management software

- HVAC certification or related technical degree is a plus
