JOB DESCRIPTION
Summary:
Metal Sales is the nation's largest manufacturer of metal roofing and building systems with 21 locations across America. Our Woodland branch has an opening for a Lead Maintenance Technician.
Hours for this position are normally Monday - Friday 6:00 am - 2:30 pm. Overtime and/or working off normal shift may be required to support the equipment maintenance needs of the branch.
The primary focus of this position is to keep our equipment operational by planning, organizing, and executing the branch preventative maintenance program. Additionally, this position keeps our building and the grounds in good shape which contributes to a safe working environment for our employees.

You'll be responsible for (but not limited to):
Following all safety processes and procedures (LOTO, Forklift, and others).
Diagnosing and troubleshooting equipment for optimal performance.
Completing preventative maintenance on production and warehouse equipment.
Installing various types of project/machine enhancements.
Completing minor construction projects as needed
Keeping the grounds in safe working conditions.
Providing timely feedback and status updates to branch management, corporate maintenance team, and vendors.
Maintaining electronic and paper maintenance logs and instructions.
Supervising Maintenance Technician(s) as required.
Assisting with other responsibilities as business needs warrant.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
The most qualified candidates will have:
Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude with at least 2 years of hands on maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
Proven experience troubleshooting and repairing mechanical, electrical and hydraulic/pneumatic components and systems
Sound problem solving skills; including ability to read electrical schematics and mechanical drawings
High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree or certifications in a technical/manufacturing field a plus
Positive can-do attitude with a strong desire to continuously learn
Sense of priority combined with ability to take initiative and manage multiple tasks
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
Work environment could include outdoor/indoor fabrication or shop facilities and indoor office facilities
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs with or without assistance without any restrictions
Position requires frequent standing, climbing, lifting, pulling, pushing, walking, and other movements
Ability to work in a variety of weather conditions (cold, hot, rain, etc.)
Noise level is moderate to loud
