Sacramento Laundry Company is a full service commercial laundry facility near North Natomas.
We provide industrial laundry service to hotels restaurants and other hospitality industry outlets in the San Francisco Bay and Sacramento areas.
We are looking for a Mechanic/Engineer to join our plant maintenance team and ensure facility is running at peak performance. We need someone to join our team who has the ability to not only work together with others but also to learn how to repair large laundry equipment. This is a great job for a person who wants to learn and has a mechanical aptitude, or someone at a Journeyman's skill level.
Job Summary:
Responsibilities include:
Take responsibility for the daily repair and preventive maintenance of equipment and building.
Maintain and keep inventory of all supplies and equipment
Be aware of and operate within OSHA (Occupational Safety & Health Act) standards and company safety policies at all times
Secure the maintenance shop at the close of every work day
Requirements:
Ability to operate various hand tools including power tools
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions
Effective communication skills
Knowledge in plumbing, and electrical
Property maintenance/handyman experience
Jack of all trades; Electrical, mechanical, plumbing, maintenance.
Assures proper repairs and maintenance of all equipment and facility.
Performs maintenance of all equipment together with operations and production management to ensure production goals are reached.
Performs preventive maintenance programs.
Helps manage equipment installation and maintenance. Also responsible of cleanliness and overall appearance of the plant.
Compliance with all safety and environmental regulations.
Qualifications:
Experience in a manufacturing setting preferred.
Plant facility support and operations.
Production equipment maintenance and repair helpful.
Electrical/electronic experience preferred.
Knowledge of Mechanical controls.
Experience with large machinery repairs.
