Recycling Equipment Technician

We are a Trash Compactor/Baler Repair company looking for a field service technician with great customer service skills and an ability to work rapidly in varying repair situations.
Responsibilities:
Troubleshoot vast service and repairs on compactors, balers, densifiers, and shredders.
Preventative maintenance including cleaning and oil changes.
Travel around the Greater Bay Area with occasional overnight trips to the central valley and central coast areas in a company provided service vehicle.
Maintain proper inventory on service vehicle.
Complete work orders, time records and vehicle records.
Evaluate equipment conditions and needs and provide detailed repair strategies including pricing to the main office for submittal to customers.
Qualifications:
Strong electrical experience/knowledge required.
General fabrication skill and welding experience required (mig and stick).
Hydraulic experience mandatory.
1-2 years commensurate experience preferred.
Clean DMV record required.
Capability to handle changes on a short notice.
Ability to read and follow schematics and pictures.
Able to work independently and with minimal supervision.
Professional appearance & pleasant attitude.
Ability to work overtime when needed and work a rotating emergency on call schedule
