Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Helper Assistant to support our appliance delivery team. The Helper will assist with the safe loading, unloading, and installation of household and commercial appliances (such as refrigerators, washers, dryers, ovens, etc.) at customer locations. This role requires physical stamina, strong customer service skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team.
Key Responsibilities:
-Assist the driver with loading and unloading appliances from delivery trucks.
-Help with the transportation and placement of appliances in customers’ homes or businesses.
-Support the installation and setup of appliances, following company and manufacturer guidelines.
-Ensure careful handling of all products to prevent damage.
-Maintain a clean and organized truck, tools, and work area.
-Verify that all items listed for delivery are accounted for and in good condition.
-Provide excellent customer service, including friendly communication and professional conduct on-site.
-Assist with removal of old appliances when required.
Follow all safety protocols and procedures during deliveries and installations.
Perform other duties as assigned by the driver or supervisor.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED preferred.
Previous experience in delivery, moving, or warehousing a plus (not required).
Ability to lift and carry heavy items (up to 100 lbs) safely and repeatedly.
Strong teamwork and communication skills.
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record preferred (depending on role).
Basic mechanical or installation skills are a plus.
Customer-oriented attitude and professional appearance.
Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends or holidays if needed.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull heavy objects.
Frequent standing, bending, and climbing stairs.
Working in a variety of environments (indoors, outdoors, hot/cold conditions).
