Medical Dispatcher
GENERAL SUMMARY
As a Dispatcher, you will be providing administrative and logistical dispatching assistance in a
professional manner to Accurate Courier customers. You will coordinate and manage efficient
and effective delivery methods for our Medical Courier Drivers and our customers.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Dispatch delivery orders and relay messages and special instructions to delivery drivers
2. Assist in the coordination of safety and DOT regulations
3. Utilize standard forecasting process to generate optimal deliveries, then determine
manpower requirements and schedule routes
4. Review inefficient deliveries, making corrections to improve efficiency
5. Review any deliveries that would indicate a service issue, call customer to apologize for
the issue and make corrective changes to customer account to eliminate future incidents
6. Communicate with delivery drivers and field offices to gather quality data to enhance
customer service and delivery efficiency
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
1. High School diploma or GED equivalent.
2. ONE to TWO YEARS DISPATCH EXPERIENCE
DESIRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to work with mathematical concepts preferred
- Ability to lead others through challenges, obstacles, deadlines and changes with a
positive result
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced customer service organization and results-driven culture
- Highly proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite with strong Excel and database
skills
- Excellent written and verbal communicator
- Prior experience using dispatch tools is a plus
- Bilingual in Spanish is beneficial!
