Motion Pro is looking for a qualified and motivated Quality Control Technician for our Quality Assurance team. Responsibilities include inspection of products to check for conformance to specifications, devising and implementing remedial actions when needed, and interfacing with R&D, Sales, warehouse staff, and vendors. This person reports to our QA Director. This is a full-time hands-on job that requires you to be onsite (some remote work may be possible from time to time).

Qualifications
Associates Degree preferred OR equivalent combination of work and education
Experience or knowledge of the powersports and/or automotive industry is a plus
Experience in conducting product inspections is a plus
Experience in safely and competently operating machinery and tools
Ability to read and understand technical drawings
Strong skills in using measurement tools with high degree of accuracy including calipers, micrometers, hardness testers, pin gauges, go/no-go gauges, radius gauges, etc.
Ability to determine the most appropriate measurement techniques required to complete inspections
General understanding of manufacturing methods and material properties is a plus
Strong problem-solving skills, particularly in identifying product issues and determining resolutions
Ability to understand design intent and interactions of part assemblies
Proficient in math, English language, literacy and technical writing skills
Strong verbal, interpersonal, and email communication skills
Ability to identify and prioritize tasks
Detailed oriented and motivated
Computer proficiency with experience in Microsoft office, database and file management
Strong work ethic, willingness to learn, and a positive attitude
Training can be provided for some of the items listed above
This position requires the ability to lift 40lbs overhead, ability to stand for 6 hours or more, ability to move around large building, ability to climb ladders, ability to operate machinery and ability to perform a variety of physical tasks.
Duties and Responsibilities
Perform inspections on assigned items in a timely and accurate manner
Identify all features/characteristics that are outside of specifications and provide recommendation on disposition
Communicate QC findings with respective team members when needed
Determine and perform rework methods
Work with R&D Department to develop inspection and rework tooling
Lead warehouse and product department staff members in completion of overflow inspection and rework tasks
Maintain relevant databases and keep current
Keep QC files organized and current
Clearly document ongoing QC issues
Reports to the QA Director
