United Towing Service is based in Sacramento, California, is a growing business that has openings for a full time Tow Truck Drivers. This is a wonderful opportunity to work with a great group of people, in a friendly environment, within the fast-paced industry of Towing. Must be able to work weekend, we pay holiday Pay and Vacation after 6 months.
Must be 21+ and have a clean DMV record and provide a 5-year DMV driving record, be drug free, pass a background check, have a great personality and an eagerness to be great!
If you have a sense of urgency to when getting the job done (our customers count on our Emergency Roadside Technician). Experience is a plus but not required, we will train the right person if you are willing to learn a new and excited about the industry.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Respond to calls dispatched to you in a safe, timely manner. Provide roadside assistance in a safe, professional manner, free of accidents, injuries and damage.
Communications with dispatch is expected to be professional and informative as it relates to information necessary to document your status in servicing a call as well as accurate ETA’s when requested.
Perform daily inspection to related equipment, tools, rigging inventory and complete and turn-in your pre-shift inspection prior to beginning duty each day.
Maintain truck fluid levels according to manufacturer standards and note quantities added on the pre-shift inspection sheet.
Maintain the storage yard in a clean and orderly manner. All trash and cigarette butts must be properly disposed of and not left in the truck or on the ground.
Invoices and paperwork must be prepared completely, correctly and on time for processing by the accounting staff.
Complete "Daily Driver Report" each shift. All related invoices and payments must be included too.
Skills
Driving and operating a service vehicle (i.e. flat tire changes, lock-out, fuel delivery services, etc.)
Must be able to safely load/unload and transport vehicles.
Operating Flatbed and/or wheel lift tow trucks. Medium and Heavy duty not required but is a PLUS
Must have strong attention to detail (All work is done on Apps and tablets. Reading instructions and call details is very important.)
