Description Position: Junior Network EngineerLocation: San Carlos (Hybrid)Duration: 6 months (initially)Overview:Robert Half is on the lookout for a Junior Network Engineer to join a team in San Carlos. This position offers a fantastic temporary opportunity for someone eager to delve into the world of networking, gaining hands-on experience in a supportive environment. If you're passionate about technology and ready to dive into various networking tasks, this role is for you!Responsibilities:
Assist in deploying lab switching infrastructure and perform cutovers.
Manage SolarWinds configurations and troubleshoot as needed.
Rack and stack network equipment and conduct inventories.
Conduct WiFi site surveys and provide support for related tasks.
Handle operational helpdesk tickets and provide support to end-users.
Assist in data center operations, including cable cleanup and maintenance.
Manage audits for Meraki portals, Open Gear, and Lighthouse systems.
Assist with device renaming, labeling, and documentation.
Collaborate with the Senior Network Engineer on business center setups and network upgrades.
Document procedures, configurations, and network changes accurately.
Provide onsite support and may require travel to other sites.

Requirements:
Basic knowledge of networking concepts and principles.
Familiarity with SolarWinds or similar network management tools preferred.
Familiarity with networking equipment from vendors such as Juniper, Palo Alto, and Cisco is a plus.
Strong documentation skills with a keen eye for detail.
Ability to work well in a team environment and independently when needed.
Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and tasks.
Excellent interpersonal skills and a customer-oriented mindset.
Availability to work onsite three days a week and remotely for two days.
