Looking to embark on a rewarding career, AquaPrime Offshore Drilling is your gateway to exciting job opportunities as a Payroll Administrator in the energy industry! As a leader in offshore drilling, we offer a range of positions across our fleet of 12 cutting-edge rigs, including semi-submersibles and dynamically positioned drill ships. This role may require occasional overtime during peak payroll periods, such as payroll processing deadlines. As a Payroll Administrator, you play a crucial role in ensuring accurate and compliant payroll processing for the organization. Your attention to detail, knowledge of payroll regulations, and commitment to confidentiality are essential in maintaining payroll integrity and employee satisfaction. You will be responsible for processing weekly pay cycles.

Duties Include But Are Not Limited To:

Processing Payroll: Collecting and verifying timekeeping information, calculating wages, and ensuring accurate and timely payment to employees.

Maintaining Payroll Records: Keeping detailed records of employee wages, deductions, bonuses, and other relevant payroll information.

Addressing Payroll Inquiries: Responding to employee inquiries regarding payroll, including pay discrepancies, tax withholding's, and deductions.

Ensuring Compliance: Staying up-to-date with federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations to ensure compliance with tax and labor laws.

Calculating Deductions: Calculating and deducting taxes, benefits, and other withholdings from employee paychecks, such as social security, Medicare, and retirement contributions.

Preparing Reports: Generating payroll reports for management, accounting, and regulatory purposes, including payroll summaries, tax reports, and earnings statements.

Processing New Hires and Terminations: Handling the payroll-related paperwork for new hires, including tax forms and direct deposit information, as well as processing final paychecks and benefits for terminated employees.

Collaborating with HR and Accounting: Working closely with human resources and accounting departments to ensure accurate employee data and seamless integration of payroll information with other systems.

Managing Benefits Administration: Administering employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and flexible spending accounts, and ensuring accurate deduction and reporting of benefit premiums.

Auditing Payroll Processes: Conducting regular audits of payroll records and processes to identify errors, discrepancies, or potential areas for improvement.

Requirements:

High school diploma/GED required.

Degree in business administration, finance, or accounting preferred.

2+ years of experience working in a payroll office.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and payroll software programs.

Strong numerical aptitude and attention to detail.

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

Good time management and organizational skills.

Working knowledge of relevant legal regulations.

Able to prioritize and multitask effectively.
