Tuesday-Saturday, 4:00p-12:00am, overtime as needed
Training will be held during the AM shift
The ideal LAB TECH Must have the knowledge and ability to follow aseptic protocol; collect line samples, raw and pasteurized milk samples received and produced daily for testing.
The person will be working with and maintaining laboratory instruments, preparing media, plate counts after incubation period, logging data in computer, testing shelf life stability, cleaning lab utensils and other general duties as needed.
Knowledge of math skills, computer, ability to read/interpret documents, and write routine reports/correspondence. May perform other duties as assigned, work as part of a team, maintain a clean/sanitary/safe work area. Requires accuracy and attention to detail. English language proficiency required. Previous lab experience is preferred but not required. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move 10 to 55 pounds.
